    Hi Stephanie,
I think we MAY have met in distant past. Steven and I met at Obiko, where I was an artist. We began our friendship there; he dressed me, took photos, we partied, and I followed him and Chris Gemignani down to L. A. where he blossomed, and unfortunately passed on, leaving a legacy of mythic beauty and inspiration. I was his Miss Pasta; and I posed for his book when I was 9 months pregnant. Leave it to tender Steven; when he found out I had a stillbirth, he removed the photo immediately from the opening.
I will always adore our connection. I found out all too late of his passing as I was living a busy life being a single mom in the 90’s.
I am looking for Chris Gemignani. If you know where I can email him, please get back to me. I live in L. A. now, and just finished a one-woman show of my digital collages. My girlfriend just notified me of this web blog, and I am overjoyed to re-connect with Steven’s spirit. Anything I can help with your production, book–anything, please feel free to contact me!

  2. Hello Tamra, of course we have met…we worked together on a tent for Rudolph Valentino for my first book The Magic & Romance of Art Dolls. Good to hear from you. Please call me when you get a chance and I will answer your questions.

Wow!!! What a heavenly book it would be!! I know it will find the right publisher, Steven is legendary and his work is sheer bliss!! It was so wonderful to see his paintings again too! I remember them like long lost children found once again : )
You’ve done such a brilliant job with Stevens legacy and to introduce it to new generations is so important. His work/art is profound and staggeringly beautiful . . . rare and unique.
I LOVE this new photo of Angie Bowie and I !!! I remember the shoot as if it were yesterday, we were listening to Nina Hagen as we frolicked in front of Stevens powerful tungsten lights and his adoring camera. It was a movement of epic proportions and I shall never forget it ever.. .

    Thank you Angel : )

    Hello Stephanie,

I contacted you once before regarding a painting by Steven that i have. It was also created by him shortly before his departure. I would love to share his painting on his archive site, so the world can see. If you are interested, I can take solid clear pics of it and send them to you. His magic lives so vividly in his work. I had a chance to visit his work at the city of West Hollywood when it was on display just recently. Thank You for sharing his art on this site! And I can’t wait to get a copy of his biography!!!

Please contact me at (323) 245-9017 if you have any questions.

    kind regards, Ares
